Rimmel London Glam Eyes HD Eye shadow Review & Swatches
{Swatches Below this Review}
Rimmel offers 8 different quad options within the Glam Eyes HD line. The four shades within each quad are designed to mimic the shape of the British Flag, giving this line a trendy European flavor. Rimmel describes these as their first creamy powder eye shadow with Velvet-HD technology”. Conveniently, each Quad contains a highlighter, lid color, crease color, and outer V color, as swell as a dual ended sponge tip applicator. Some of the colors such as the highlighter are small and it is harder to get a brush in there, however the overall quality of these shadows definitely compensates for that.
The Formula
The formula is incredibly velvety just as Rimmel describes it. The HD Technology infuses the shadows with a vibrant pearlescent finish. Each shade glides on just as smoothly as a cream would. I am impressed with the level of pigmentation that this quad offers. It is certainly comparable in pigmentation to that of MAC shadows. The only minor drawback to the formula is that the shadows are so soft that you tend to grab more product than you actually need. Thus wasting tons of shadow. If I had to sum up the formula in one word I would say it is “Luxurious”.
Overall Thoughts
These quads are luxuriously pigmented and incredibly affordable. Their compact design makes them perfect for travel or carrying in a small clutch when you are on the go.

The colors look amazing!!
nice colors, but the e/s pans look quite small though. You would need a tiny brush aplicator by the look of it.
You 100% correct, the highlight, crease, and outer v colors are a bit tiny. Although the great news is that since you do not need as much shadow in those areas it isn’t so bad. You just have to have a teeny-tiny brush to get the product from those colors. I will say this, the sponge tip applicator (which I am generally not a fan of) is wonderful with this product. It has a defined point on it so that you can grab the shadows from those smaller pans.
Okay, I am loving this. I’ve been having the hardest time finding purple shadows at the drugstore that are pigmented enough, but I think you may have just helped me solve that conundrum!
I bought the true union jack palette kind of on a whim but i really like it! I’ve never used that shade of pink before so i was thrilled when i saw the little diagram on the back of the package! It really helped with application. i have to say it was pretty tough to grab he tiny block of colour without a brush
wow, the colors swatched a lot differently than how they look in the pan… i’m glad i read your review before purchasing… thanks!
